The digital storing of information has made it easily accessible to the business and subsequently the different parties with whom the business associates.Such is the impact of communication technology in the different sectors. This is best exemplified by the healthcare sector. Using the different communication technologies that are available, it has become easier to merge patient records especially between different healthcare facilities. The patient records can be sent to different locations thus enhancing the quality of healthcare available to the patient. This case shows the critical nature of electronic communication in the success of businesses meeting its set goa ls.It has to be understood that electronic communication in its entirety does not only denote new technologies. It also denotes the new ways of using communication technologies. The particular electronic media that can be used is largely dependent on the nature of the message being communicated. There is a range of electronic technologies that can be employed by businesses. Each of the different electronic communication technologies has its own strong points and drawbacks.Electronic communication is not without its skeptics. One of the most common explanations given for this is that it tends to blur the distinction between what is private and what is professional. This is given the relative convenience of working from home, as a result, of the use of these electronic communication technologies. In a way, it has enabled professionals to improve their capacities while simultaneously enhancing the mediocrity of the mediocre workers. Given that it is up to a particular employee to maint ain professional discipline, employers find it hard to ensure that their employees do not slack off while on duty.Electronic communications have been popularized largely because of their convenience factor. These technologies have made communication between business and people both faster and easier. This is in addition to their increased availability. Contemporary electronic communication has widened the manner in which communication can be undertaken. This is especially with reference to visual communication. The internet has to be credited for making such communications possible. Such communications have become almost instantaneous. Increase in broadband width has enhanced the potential of electronic communication. As such, the use of electronic communication tools has made communication increasingly convenient. It is clear that electronic communication forms a core factor in the daily busine...

Article Review on Role of Play in Early Childhood

Jill Englebright, an assistant professor of early childhood education at Virginia Commonwealth University, has devoted her article to one of the timeliest issues in the contemporary system of education. It has been said a lot that Play has already forced out old academic system of education, proving that actually Play is much more effective in both learning and developing skills and knowledge. To prove this point Jill has meticulously investigated Play as an integral part of education. T first Jill is stating several descriptions and explanations of Play, given by many scholars. Generally, Play can be identified as a type of activity, where children participate with enthusiasm alone or with other children. Undoubtedly, play is first and foremost important to develop such skills as creativity and social competence; it enhances language and thinking skills and at the same time develops wider imagination. Through Play a child comes to understand both physical and social worlds, at the same time using non-verbal communication as another type of contact with other children. Generally, through Play children manage to adapt, understand and communicate to each other. With regard to Play as a type of cognitive development, Jill is expressing two points of view. Piaget claims that Play is a means of entertaining children, as it only allows children to practice skills they have already learnt. At the same time, according to the theory of Vygotsky, Play does enhance cognitive development. Irrespective of the actual role of Play, it is obvious that is playing an important role in the early childhood classroom. Play can be both indoor and outdoor, and, according to Jill, it is essential to use both of them. At the same time, it is important to underline that outdoor classes should not replace the indoor ones, on the contrary, they should be an extension of the indoor classroom, and should develop both motor and social skills. It has been proved that outdoor environment helps to enhance all the areas of development: problem-solving, creative thinking, social competence, language use, etc. In her article Jill Englebright also pays attention to five types of Play by Parten. According to Parten, children may get involved into various types of Play, depending on circumstances. These types are: onlooker behavior, when a child is watching the Play; solitary independent, when a child is playing by himself; parallel, playing in the middle of the group, at the same time being occupied with his own activity; associative, when children communicate with each other, but at the same time do not play the same not being involved in the same Play; and the last one is cooperative, when children are involved in the same Play. Actually, much time should be devoted to Play, as short plays make children abandon when they have only started to get involved. As a result, a child may lose interest and it may develop some negative attitude to Play in general. It is important to underline the role of a teacher during Play: a teacher provides indoor and outdoor play environments, maintains safety, develops rules, selects appropriate materials, and other aspects. Moreover, it is important for teacher to observe children playing to facilitate appropriate social interactions and motor behaviors. It is important to let children decide on what they want to play and let them choose their roles within the Play. Social play permits children to include other in their play; it is teaching children to interact with each other. Cognitive play involves thinking and reasoning process; during this play a child is using logic, information, he is finding solutions to some problems, and at the same time learns new information. Actually, through both types of play a child is learning new, however the main difference is the means of learning – either by himself (through cognitive development) or by means of interaction with others (social development). The article itself is very important and sheds light on an essential means of activity in the classroom – Play. Not only does Jill give a general overview of what Play is, but she is actually giving very bright and vivid examples as well, so that the reader comes to understand and analyze the role of Play himself. As for me, the article is very useful especially for young specialists, who do not have some experience in this very field. I like Jill paying considerable attention to outdoor classes, as I am convinced that it is important to develop child’s motor skills as well. Generally, the article is very informative, and its examples make it easier to analyze. Judiasm Rastafarianism A study of the Falashas Essay

Judiasm Rastafarianism: A study of the Falashas In this research paper I will discuss the ethnic groups of Africans in the Caribbean and Jews in Ethiopia. Jews in Ethiopia call themselves Beta Israel which means `house of Israel. They are also known as the Falashas. Falasha means `stranger or `immigrant in the classical language of Ethiopia (the Geez tongue). I will also describe the culture of the African people displaced into the Caribbean who identify themselves as the Rastafarians and the connections I have made between them and Judaism. I believe that these connections between Judaism and Rastafarianism are more than just similarities that can be found between any two Bible- following religions. I choose the Falashas as the†¦show more content†¦While Jews are still waiting for the messiah, Rastas believe that the messiah has already come (and, unfortunately, gone) in the form of the last Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie I.Today man sees all his hopes and aspirations crumble before him. He is perplexed and knows not whither he is drifting. But he must realise that the solution of his present difficulties and guidance for his future action is the Bible. Unless he accepts with clear conscience the Bible and its great message, he cannot hope for salvation. For myself, I glory in the Bible.- Selassie I Emperor Haile Selassie is a direct descendant of King Salomon and the Queen of Sheba; not surprisingly the African people of the Caribbean looked to Selassie as their savior. They were taken from their motherland, Africa, in times of slavery and sought repatriation. Their situation made belief in a white god unrealistic. Selassie I was their Savior. It was on the day of November 2, 1930, when Selassie was crowned Emperor, that he assumed his name meaningthe power of the Holy Trinity. Since then, he has been called many names including King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and the Conquering Lion of Judah - all of which are taken from the book of Revelations. Before he was emperor, he was Ras Tafari, (Rosh Tiferet in Hebrew) which translates toCrown Prince.A psalm in the Bible predicteda crown prince shall come forth from Kush. This meant that when Haile Selassie was crowned

Health And Body Essay Research Paper In free essay sample

Health And Body Essay, Research Paper In all parts of life there are periods of hardship that we must confront, the existent challenge nevertheless, is what and how we gain from suppressing those tests. There have been many times that I have been faced with hardship, it has happened in all facets of my life at one clip or another. Whether it is covering with the ups and downs of hockey or equilibrating the force per unit area that comes with an elect hockey agenda and high school, there are ever obstructions. Some of these challenges can convey approximately positive effects that influence the way of one # 8217 ; s life. In one such experience of mine, the sum of hardship was non near every bit great as the positive out come that came from my experience. It happened when I was 13, I suffered a hockey hurt that helped me to recognize the country I wanted to analyze and hopefully have career in. The clip it took me to rehabilitate my shoulder was a clip of great acquisition for me but it besides came with a great trade of hardship. It was an hurt that sidelined me for hebdomads while at the same clip pushed me on my manner to a new work ethic and a new enthusiasm for acquisition. When I was in grade seven, I was playing my 2nd twelvemonth of runt hockey and playing for my junior high school squad every bit good. The junior high conference allowed checking and the runt conference did non. Because of this I was non accustomed to the new facet of hockey brought on by look intoing. I was injured in an intense game against our rival junior high, which was filled with plentifulness of look intoing. I was on the having terminal of a barbarous cheque from behind which is something non permitted in any conference, the participant that hit me received a punishment and a game ejection. I tried to go on playing but it was no usage, I was hardly able to raise my arm. I ended up in the infirmary where the physician informed me that I had badly dislocated my left shoulder and would hold to lose up to three hebdomads of drama. I had neer been forced to lose hockey because of an hurt before and it was the worst intelligence I had of all time heard. The clip I missed from hock ey was one of the most hard periods I had been through up to that point. The physician at the infirmary referred me to a physical therapist, whom I met with three times. The physical therapist, who seemed to be a small unfamiliar with my hurt, gave me an exercising plan that was supposed to mend my shoulder. Because the physician and physical therapist I ab initio met with were non athleticss specializers I would subsequently be confronted with the fact that a disjointed shoulder takes more than merely a few hebdomads to mend and it can # 8217 ; t really be determined how long it takes until it has been healed. I sacredly followed the exercising plan given to me by my physical therapist but was seeing minimum betterment. After the initial three hebdomads was over I was still in a great trade of hurting and still had problem traveling my arm. Equally obvious as the fact that I could non play was, I still tried to convert my parents that I could return to playing hockey. They felt it was better for me to hold it checked by a specializer. Because I was still experiencing hurting I decide to take their advice. My pa arranged an assignment with one of the top orthopaedic/sports medical specialty specializers in Nova Scotia. She examined my shoulder and found that my old rehabilitative government was uneffective, the harm was worse than I had thought and she told me that I would non be able to take part in any contact athletics for the following three to six hebdomads. A referral from this physician sent me to a physical therapist and so a kinesiologist who gave me a different, more strict exercising plan that produced great betterment to my shoulder. This plan was much harder physically and took much more commitment to follow. I was acquiring up one hr earlier for school each forenoon so that I could make the exercisings twice a twenty-four hours. I had neer had to work so difficult at something before in my life but returning to hockey every bit shortly as possible was something I was really determined to win at. While following this plan I gained a reinforced work ethic. I realized for the first clip that to carry through something as large and every bit of import as this, it would take a desire that out weighed all other distractions ; I had made returning to hockey my chief precedence. This new apprehension of the committedness it took to get the better of such obstructions bit by bit showed up in other countries subsequently on in my life. Along with this new work ethic I besides found I had developed an enthusiasm for rehabilitative scientific disciplines. The things being told to me by the healers and specializers that I was on a regular basis run intoing with were intriguing to me and motivated me to seek and derive more cognition about what they were stating me. Through things like independe nt research into strength preparation and inquiring my physical therapist as many inquiries as I could, I was deriving cognition of the human organic structure and how it works from a muscular point of view. The things that I was larning about my organic structure were a great trade easier to retrieve than what I was larning at school and I was acquiring enjoyment out of it every bit good. The procedure of rehabilitating my shoulder ended up taking four hebdomads more than expected but with the counsel of the new specializers I was run intoing with, it went swimmingly and was a success. My shoulder healed in clip for me to fall in my squads for play-offs and both ended up making rather good. That nevertheless was non the greatest accomplishment I gained from the rehabilitative procedure. I found myself perusing the desire to get greater cognition about the human organic structure and how it heals hurts like the one I suffered and how that procedure can be improved through exercising and strength preparation. I researched the Internet, libraries and wellness magazines seeking to happen as much information as I could approximately this involvement I was developing. As clip went on I continued to research and was retaining the information I found, I was non able to make this as easy with other topics. As my cognition grew my desire to larn more grew along with it. Throughout my surveies I noticed that much of the information I was acquiring had a background in biological science. My schooling to that point dealt really small with biological science. An involvement in biological science began to develop as a consequence of my desire to larn more about athleticss medical specialty. I decided that to better understand the things I was larning in relation to athleticss medical specialty I would take biological science in high school. When I entered class 11 I found the biological science class exhilarating, for the first clip I was basking what my instructor at school was learning and I started looking frontward to my biological science category. I shortly determined that I wanted to foster my survey of both biological science and athleticss medical specialty in University. I decided the best way for me to take is to get down with an undergraduate grade in biological science. I have late made many forfeits, both socially and athletically so that I can better my classs in other topics in an effort to derive entryway to a recognized university. The other classs I have selected this twelvemonth, such as chemical science and math, will assist to fix me for my future surveies. I have concentrated hard on my classs and experience confident that my difficult work will convey success in accomplishing my ends. I have even noticed that my attitude toward my surveies and acquisition is slightly different than that of some of my equals. There are other facets of my life that I have changed and improved on as a consequence of this experience that do non associate to my instruction. The dedication that I put into rehabilitating my shoulder hurt compelled me to go on strength preparation and that subsequently gave me an advantage over my competition in hockey. I have improved, as a hockey participant because I realized at an early age what it takes to accomplish ends that are of import to you and success in hockey has been one of my most of import ends. In the past few old ages I have had many chances in hockey and have been able to take advantage of them because I had the doggedness to contend through little set dorsums and concentrate on the bigger image. My involvement in athleticss medical specialty helped me to understand the importance of proper and complete preparation as portion of a healthy life. My wellness is something I take earnestly as a consequence of being exposed to wellness professionals. I have accordingly developed an enjoyment of a assortment of activities that will let me to be healthy and active throughout my life. I am now besides taking attention of myself and taking safeguards in my preparation so I may bask the same benefits of an active life style in the hereafter with out job. I am really grateful that I was able to obtain the cognition I have about an active manner of life because it has helped me to experience better about my wellness and my organic structure. The experience I had with rehabilitating my shoulder was an experience that has changed my life for the better. It has helped me to give myself to things that are of import to me like my instruction and sports and given me the cognition and will power I needed to acquire through times of trouble. I now have a really healthy and active life style, which I will keep every bit long as I can, and I understand the restrictions I have to esteem so that I may go on it. The consequence I am most pleased with is the debut I was given to the universe of biological science and athleticss medical specialty. It is this turning involvement that pushes me every twenty-four hours to work to win in school so that I may prosecute my involvement and someday hold a calling in an country that I will bask and give myself to.

sixties counterculture 10 pg proposal essays

sixties counterculture 10 pg proposal essays The sixties were turbulent times for America, both domestically and abroad. During the sixties America witnessed the assassination of a president, the assassination of a civil rights leader, a conflict in Vietnam, and a counterculture revolution among the youth. The counterculture would peacefully protest and rally against the government early on, but as the decade progressed, the counterculture would split into various factions. Some of these splinter groups would carry out violent measures to make themselves, and there opinions, known. While the violent actions were carried out by a strict minority, they attracted much attention from the The purpose of this paper is to establish a connection between the peace movement and the violence perpetrated by the counterculture. I feel that it is important that we find out how a movement that was peaceful in the beginning could end up being so violent. The fact that Americas youth could get caught up in such a frightening and violent situation should be of concern to all of us. The music, and music festivals, of the era are also worthy of consideration. Did the music contribute to the violence, or was it a just reflection of the turmoil felt during the In order to understand the violent groups and their connection with the counterculture, we first need to understand what the counterculture was. The sixties were full of groups which lived outside of the norm, one of the earlier and most famous groups to form were the hippies. In 1965, Herb Caen of the San Francisco Chronicle labeled these people hippies, as if they were apprentice hipsters. The young insurgents called themselves freaks or heads, and they called their here and now revolution a counterculture. The hippies were into living a communal life, a life of peace and tranquility and they were blowing t...

Storm Drainage Design Project Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 4

Storm Drainage Design Project - Essay Example The hydrograph is shown next page as Figure 2. To facilitate plotting, instead of using the river discharge figures in the vertical axis, the height of the river in meters from the given data was used. For a well-defined hydrograph of the river discharge, river height data were multiplied by 5 during plotting, although actual river height values were used in the computations. In the same vertical axis, the rainfall data in mm. were also plotted. Values were plotted for the hourly data for a four-day period. The time scale is plotted on the horizontal axis. Microsoft Excel (2003) was used to generate a computerised rendition of the hydrograph. The bar graph of the rainfall data showed twin-peaks of 1.2 mm occurring 10 hours apart. The rising limb of the river flood started to accumulate 11:00:00 of October 13 as the first peak of rainfall registered. After 22 hours, the peak of the river flow was reached at 9:00:00 of October 14 when the river height is 0.658 m. It will be observed that the rising limb of the hydrograph is quite steep. Meanwhile, it took 46 hours for the river flood at its peak to return back to base flow. This is defined in the hydrograph by the recession limb. However, the four-day data for the River Cynon did not necessarily return back to base flow. River height before the rising limb was 0.253 m, while the least reading given during the recession limb was 0.306 m. Figure 3 shows the rising limb, peak flow, recession limb and other elements of a typical hydrograph. A significant portion of the Cynon River catchment area is of moderate permeability (65%), which indicates slow infiltration rate and the steep rising limb (British Geological Society, 2005; Gordon, Finlayson, McMahon and Gippel, 2004). The average discharge for the rising limb (Qa) of the river flood is computed as the product of the given river velocity (v), the average river height from the first rainfall peak at 1.2 mm

An Evaluation Plan For A Training Program Assignment

An Evaluation Plan For A Training Program - Assignment Example This Training program has been conducted throughout the branches of the eastern zone of USA. The training program lasted for 2 months. After the successful conduction of the training program, the management decided to devise an evaluation method to measure the success of the training provided. An evaluation plan is an essential part of a proposal that offers feedback about the success or failure of a project after it has been developed and implemented. The purpose of evaluation of the training program is different for the person who conducted the training and for the people who participated in the program. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the views of both of the associated participants. In simple terms, the purpose statement helps in making decisions about the future of the overall organization or monitoring the program procedures to ensure continuance and improvement. A purpose statement is necessary to obtain relevance of a training program and for learning the impact of the training program on certain groups. Program logic models exhibit what a presented plan, new agenda, or focused transformation effort might include from start to finish. The elements in a program logic model consist of the resources, activities, outputs, short-term outcomes, intermediate-term outcomes, long-term outcomes and impact. In this case, the resources are the organizational infrastructure and financial investment. Activities are the detailed actions that make the program happen. Here the computers, internet connection, various software and training manuals are considered as activities. Outputs are the results of the activities, which is the delivery of the lectures and slideshow in this case. Outputs are often measured in terms of quantity and quality. Outcomes are the changes that take place within the awareness, skill, behavior, and knowledge level of the employees after the conduction of the training program. Impact is the final proposed change in an organization or commu nity. Stakeholders The stakeholders related to the training program include the employees, the managers, the supervisors, and the trainers. These people have direct link with the training method. Stakeholders are people who have interest in the evaluating procedure and can utilize the results of evaluation for further improvement, both self-development and organizational development. Key evaluation questions 1. How was the trainer in terms of communication? 2. Did the trainer answer all your questions? 3. How much helpful was the training session? 4. How did the management cooperate in the successful completion of the session? 5. Was the allocated time sufficient for the entire learning procedure? Choosing an evaluation design Evaluation design can be of three types: Exploratory evaluation designs help us in the starting of a training program to recognize which training to provide and the methods that should be implemented. Descriptive designs help us to determine whether the progra m is being conducted as per plan, provide us with response about the programs offered, and decide whether the program is creating the desired output. Causal evaluation designs help to present more information regarding the relationship between the training imparted and the outcomes obtained. It presents a cause and effect relationship. For this specific

Nature is great Essay Example for Free

Nature is great Essay The outdoors is my escape from the social world. The outdoors has always been a peaceful way to for me to relax and be myself. Mother Nature helps out when I need some time to think and be on my own. The quiet and calmness is what gets to me the most while I’m out there exploring the woods, whether it be hunting, fishing or just taking a walk. The outdoors has always been a peaceful and stress relieving way for me to relax and be who I am. Mother Nature helps me out when I just need to get away and have some time to think on my own. The quiet and calmness is what gets to me the most while I’m out there exploring the woods whether it be while I’m hunting, fishing, or just taking a walk. I was raised in a family that has the same belief about the wilderness. My parents and grandparents have shown me the ways of the outdoors and I have learned many lessons for life from both my parents and while I’m in the outdoors. I believe that the outdoors is a way of connection to family and friends and the wildlife that lives inside it. I have spent most my life hunting and fishing because that’s who I am. I have learned many lessons while I have spent numerous hours in the woods, such as how to track wild life, what plants not to touch so I don’t get poison ivy, and what wild berries I can eat without getting sick. Over time these could be very successful traits to have in case of an emergency that could happen in the future. The traits would also be a valuable thing to pass along to my children in the future. Patience is a trait that is always learned in the outdoors. The time you have while you’re sitting in the woods hunting for wild game is hard to describe. You’re in the woods before the sun rises and don’t come out until the sun comes down. You must to have patience to wait for that trophy deer to come along for that perfect chance. Another lesson you learn while you’re in the woods is determination. Some days I may not even see a single bird or squirrel in a tree while I’m sitting there for numerous hours. But I won’t give up just because I had a bad day in the woods. At any moment the woods could come alive and you start seeing the tons of movement, the birds will start chirping, squirrels barking, and the snapping of twigs and crackling of leaves as the deer start walking. The outdoors is a wonderful cure for people who need that little time to just be alone or get their minds off something and think. I know when I’m in the woods it gives me a lot of time to think about anything. I go hunting on the weekends most of the time because I have school during the week, so when I have reading for homework or if I have to brainstorm some ideas for an essay that I have to write in English, I can concentrate on my homework and not have any distractions to keep me off track of my studies. The outdoors has been one of the most relaxing places for me to do what I love most, which is hunt and fish. I just thank Mother Nature for giving me a place to go. The quiet and calmness is what gets to me the most while I’m out there hunting for the trophy whitetail or fishing for the eight pound bass. This I believe is why I think the outdoors is a wonderful thing for anyone who needs some relaxing time and get away. POWERED BY TCPDF (WWW. TCPDF. ORG)

where did all the yams go? :: essays research papers fc

What About All Those Yams? After all those stories and discussions about yams, I was curious to see what exactly Nigerians eat. As an agricultural society, most of their food comes from farming. They do have meat, but yams are the main food component of their diet. Most Nigerians eat a light breakfast and have their main meal in the late afternoon (Chroness). For meats, Nigerians have goat, cow, chicken, turkey, geese, guinea fowls, pigeon, fish, shrimp, crab, and other seafood. For fruits and vegetables, they have oranges, bananas, pineapples, tangerines, carrots, watermelons, guava, melons, limes, grape fruits, mangos, apple (tinier than American apples and pink and white in color), peppers, tomatoes, onions, peas, and many other things (Chroness). Yams, cocoyams and sweet potatoes are popular in Nigeria. Ah, those yams, also called isu. The image we, as Americans, conjure up when we think of yams is not the same as Nigerian yams. These yams can grown up to 7 feet long and weigh approximately 150 pounds. They have three (3) types of yams: white, yellow, and à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"water yamsà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ (Gourmet). There are numerous ways to prepare and serve this abundant Nigerian food staple. However, they must be cooked, otherwise they are very toxic. Plain boiled yams, either white or yellow, are peeled, sliced up, usually into pieces about 3 centimeters, and boiled in water with salt. It is accompanied with vegetable oil, palm, oil, eggs, beans, and sometimes soup (Gourmet). Another popular meal is a variation of the above using boiled yams requires pounding the yams and forming small smooth balls with the them, it is eaten with vegetables, meat or fish soup. Nigerians also fry their yams. White or yellow yams are cut up into long thin squares and fried in vegetable oil or palm oil (Lipman). This is usually eaten by itself or occasionally as a side dish. Another dish is ojojo. This dish consists of cut up water yams that are fried in vegetable oil or palm oil. This dish is also usually eaten on its own(Recipes). Asaro is white or yellow yams peeled, sliced, and diced into small cubes, then cooked with ground tomatoes, peppers, sometimes meat, other spices, and comes out reddish in color (Recipes). Ikokore is similar to asaro, but it is made with different yams. Yes, there are different forms of yams! The water yam is softer in texture and, when cooked, it usually comes out a brownish color.

Research Paper – Pawnshop System Design

Bulacan State University Sarmiento Campus City of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan Research Methodologies Pawnshop System Design (PSSD) Submitted by: _______________________ Submitted to: _______________________ Instructor Date: March 25, 2011 CHAPTER I The Problem and its background INTRODUCTION The fusion of computer technology and communication technology gave birth to new era of digital age (William Sayer, 2003). This fusion is what we know today as information technology. Information technology is the collaboration of industries dealing with computer, telephone, and various handheld devices. These technologies greatly affect the business industry. Pawnshop System (PSS) is an individual or business that offers secured loans to people, with items of personal property used as collateral. The word pawn is derived from the Latin pignus, for pledge, and the items having been pawned to the broker are themselves called pledges or pawns, or simply the collateral. The system is intuitive and eas y to use. The Pawnshop System (PSS) if an item is pawned for a loan, within a certain contractual period of time the pawner may purchase it back for the amount of the loan plus some agreed-upon amount for interest. The amount of time, and rate of interest, is governed by law or by the pawnbroker's policies. If the loan is not paid (or extended, if applicable) within the time period, the pawned item will be offered for sale by the pawner/secondhand dealer. Unlike other lenders, though, the pawner does not report the defaulted loan on the customer's credit report, since the pawnbroker has physical possession of the item and may recoup the loan value through outright sale of the item. The pawner/secondhand dealer also sells items that have been sold outright by customers to the Pawner or secondhand dealer.STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM General Problem The general problem in The Pawnshop System (PSS) is how long would it takes for saving data information of a client? Specific Problem 1. How lo ng would it takes for saving data information of clients? 2. How Does a Pawnshop Operates? 3. What are the problems can be encountered by the cashier during their saving information about client? SCOPE AND LIMITATION The Pawnshop System (PSS) must have limitation one of the limitations is for the cashier or employee at least he/she is given an authority from the owner , and only the owner and cahier must have a right to open and use the Pawnshop System (PSS) by accessing their password. The study will benefit Pawnshop System (PSS) inc. as it provides qualified workers to their client ant efficiently manage their Pawnshop System (PSS). the System will reduce the incidence of incomplete information.Gathered from applicant that will lead to inaccurate record on their database and unreliable reports. The material/ program going to use in this Pawnshop System (PSS) is the materials/ program to be use is the Microsoft Visual Basic 6. 0 and Microsoft Access 2003 or 2007. the reason why Microsoft visual Basic 6. 0 and Microsoft Access 2033 or 20007 will be use in this Pawnshop system, because only the Microsoft Visual basic 6. 0 and Microsoft access 2003 or 2007 will be able and compatible their connection and the relationship must be connected through. The Pawnshop System (PSSD) . Must has receipt and it locate to the office administrator or in the office of cashier or employee. It will start to make on Dec 2009 until last week of February 2010 finish it already CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK The purpose of the study is to help the owner or cashier to save their time to manipulate the system. And they can easily manipulate this system. And also It helps the owner to understand easily the prototypes of the program and this system is easy to understand. Can generate different reports that will aid management in making business decisions. The first frame is the Computer and software installer which is the Microsoft visual Basic 6. 0 and Microsoft Access 2003 or 2007. The second frame is data coding, system design, system analysis and installing software. The third frame is the Pawnshop system Design (PSSD). this will be the possible output of your crating and design ing system. RESEARCH PARADIGM [pic] Fig 1. The Research model of the Experiment HYPOTHESIS The main idea of this Pawnshop system design is to help the owner to easily manipulate the program. And it will help them to saving their data information that their going to inputted gathered by the client and employee record. TERMS AND DEFINITION Pawner/Pawnee- a member of an American Indian people living along the Platte River and its tributaries in Nebraska during the first half of the 19th century: confined to a reservation in the Indian Territory in 1874–75. How long would it take for saving data information of clients? 2. How a Pawnshop Does Operates? 3. What are the problems can be encountered by the cashier during their saving information about client? DESCUSSION OF RESULT There are several ways of collecting and understanding information and finding answer to your question research is one way. This study has dealt some basic issues of design in quantitive research’s have discussed the co mmonly used design types in experimental research. If an item is pawned for a loan, within a certain contractual period of time the pawner may purchase it back for the amount of the loan plus some agreed-upon amount for interest. The amount of time, and rate of interest, is governed by law or by the pawnbroker's policies. If the loan is not paid (or extended, if applicable) within the time period, the pawned item will be offered for sale by the pawnbroker/secondhand dealer CHAPTER V CONCLUSION In savings data information gathered by a client it will save in 1 second only. It saves time for the clients in processing their transaction. It is very easy to operate because it must easy to understand. The problem that encountered by the user is deleting some data information gathered by the client in unexpected situation. Strategic Dissection Paper on “Microsoft Corporation”

Abstract This paper defines and exemplifies some of the strategies presented by David (2008) that are currently being used by the Microsoft organization. This work presents different levels of strategy (corporate and functional), some of integration and intensive strategies. Levels of strategy The corporate level of management consists of the chief executive officer (CEO), other senior executives, and corporate staff. The main role of corporate-level managers is to observe the development of strategies for the whole organization. This role includes defining the goals of the organization, determining what businesses it should be in, allocating resources among the different businesses, formulating and implementing strategies that span†¦show more content†¦Not only that, engineers typically get paid more than businesspeople (Kirkpatrick, 2008). In early 1994, Gates received e-mails from two young employees, Jay Allard and Steve Sinofsky, who argued that Microsoft’s current strategy was misguided and ignored the rapidly emerging Web. In companies with a more hierarchical culture, such action might have been ignored, but in Microsoft, which operates as a meritocracy in which good ideas trump hierarchical position, it produced a very different response. Gates convened a meeting of senior executives in April 1994 and then wrote a memo to senior executives arguing that the Internet represented a sea change in computing and that Microsoft had to respond. Integration strategies Microsoft is using a forward integration strategy, which usually involves gaining ownership or increased control over distributors or retailers. (David, 2010) Microsoft’s forward integration includes opening its own retail stores. Microsoft wants to learn firsthand about what consumers want and how they buy. Intensive Strategies A market penetration strategy seeks to increase market share for present products or services in present markets through greater marketing efforts. Market penetration includes increasing the number of salespersons, increasing advertising expenditures, offering extensive sales promotion items, or increasing publicity efforts.
